Am I launching deep enough?

Matthew 13:47-49 NKJV “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, [48] which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. [49] So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just,

Lately I am becoming more convinced that we are trying to do God’s job of separating the wicked from the just. While we are called to discern, I wonder how much we judge instead of leaving that to God and us walking worthy of our calling.

As an evangelist, we catch the fish, as a pastor, I shepherd the sheep, and as a teacher, I teach the disciples of Christ, but now I have see where and how much the sorting of good and bad comes into play.

While not giving pearls to swine, my biggest fear is that I’m not launching deep enough, that I could catch more fish, that I could be more effective as an evangelist. Is it fear that hinders me, or is it unbelief?

This is the boldness that I seek, to reach out being filled with the Holy Spirit, to a world that needs only what God can give through Jesus.

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13:16)
