Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: ” Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.
The sure foundation is in Zion. This is a physical location. Whatever it is that God plans to build, He will do so only from there; where the foundation is laid.
The precious stone is Jesus. This is an actual person. Whatever it is that God plans to build, He will do so only through Christ; who is the foundation of all this pertaining to God.
To me this means if I want to stand, I better relocate to where the foundation is spiritually. This means that I can’t build what I want where I want, not if it has to be of God.
Only that which is of His can be built on that foundation. If I add something of mine which is not part of God’s blueprint, not only will it be worthless, but it will also be destroyed. Only His perfect will will be done.
So what is He building? His Kingdom of course. So I put away all else, for nothing else matters, and go forth seeking to save the Lost, and to edify His body, the Church.
