“Then He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”” Mark 4:9 MEV
How deep is your love; for Jesus and to get your life right with Him?
“He said to them, “To you is given the secret of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, everything is said in parables,” Mark 4:11 MEV
If you think about what this means… Deuteronomy 29:29
“Without a parable He did not speak to them. But when they were alone, He expounded on all things to His disciples.” Mark 4:34 MEV
For those who understand, this is going to be the difference between the Sunday preaching and the weekly Bible study.
“Jesus did not let him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how He has had compassion on you.”” Mark 5:19 MEV
This rings true in our lives now. Be faithful witnesses.
“At once, Jesus knew within Himself that power had gone out of Him. He turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My garments?”” Mark 5:30
This, I’ve learned, applies in my life even now, even when not officially ministering based on Proverbs 27:23.
“They laughed at Him in ridicule. But when He had put them all out, He took the father and the mother of the girl and those who were with Him and entered where the girl was lying.” Mark 5:40 MEV
Do not give pearls to swine. Be thoroughly aware of the consequences of doing that.
“He could not do any miracles there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.” Mark 6:5 MEV
He did not. He could not should never be understood as God being powerless, but that their unbelieving hearts could not accept that Jesus was and is Lord God, therefore He was amazed because of their unbelief. We have to contemplate on how unbelieving our own hearts are. Don’t allow for anything of the fallen human nature corrupt the purity found in God. Renew your mind!
“For John said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”” Mark 6:18 MEV
Is this part of his ministry to prepare the way for Jesus or is it righteousness applied foolishly? Are we in danger of overstepping our calling and authority? We have a General, a Lord of Hosts, the captain of the army of God. His name is Jesus. Let us do only what we are told to, by Him personally and as instructed in the new covenant we have with Him. Let Him pick your battles, then the battle belongs to the Lord and the victory is ours. Be guided by the Holy Spirit.
“When Jesus came out and saw many people, He was moved with compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And He began to teach them many things.” Mark 6:34 MEV
Sheep without a shepherd. Jesus’ solution was to teach, to inform, to impart knowledge. This speaks to me as it applies to a ministerial situation that I face, and I stand corrected by the word.
