After these things Jesus walked in Galilee. He would not walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill Him. John 7:1 MEV
Jesus took precautions. This was to save His life, but to save it so that His primary goal is achieved in perfect cordination with our Heavenly Father’s timing.
Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. John 7:16 MEV
What we must never fail to see is that Jesus did not do/accomplish/teach anything as God or because He is God but that everything Jesus did in the flesh was done by His efforts as a human but empowered by the Holy Spirit. If we are filled with the same Spirit of God, we can know/teach/accomplish exactly the same way that Jesus Christ did.
Therefore when they heard these words, many of the people said, “Truly, this is the Prophet.” Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Will the Christ come out of Galilee? John 7:40-41 MEV
Two different persons. Even now the Jews leave a seat empty and follow the ritual of looking for Elijah, who they believe to be the greatest prophet. Jesus spoke of John the Baptist as being the greatest till then. This messes with those who have already determined who the two end time witnesses will be.
The officers answered, “No man has ever spoken like this Man.” John 7:46 MEV
It amazes me that the officers did not arrest Jesus simply because of His words.
Being convicted by their conscience, those who heard it went out one by one, beginning with the eldest even to the last. Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. John 8:9 MEV
The anointing convicts.
She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.” John 8:11 MEV
According to the Mosaic law, she deserves death, but Jesus does not condemn her but instructs her to sin no more.
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. John 8:34 MEV
A slave to sin I do not want anyone to be. I do not even wish that upon people (humans) who oppose me
Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon. But I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. John 8:49 MEV
A person told me earlier today that I butchered a scripture on the church website. I thought of several pacifist ways to reply so that I offend no one, but the Lord said otherwise. When it comes to this kind of stuff, be it doctrine or demons, answer with truth and love. So this was my reply to which he answered “fair enough”
Like you, many folks tell me their doctrine, but as always, I trust in the Lord to build His Kingdom.
“God overlooked our ignorance of His true nature in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him.
For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.”
This God, and His invitation to reconcile to Him, through His son Jesus Christ, is what we joyfully make known.”
This is in no way butchered but makes sense to a Hindu and a Muslim of what salvation only through Jesus Christ is, especially if English is not their mother tongue. Therefore it stays as is.
I do not wish to pursue this topic further with you.
Then they said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him, since He opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.” John 9:17 MEV
He really was being as resolute as he can. This is what he knew; he knew only of “prophets”
Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind.” Some Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we also blind?” Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains. John 9:39-41 MEV
This applies to folks who proudly claim to know. I stop short of that by admitting that I know only because it has been revealed thus to me. I could be wrong, and if I am then show me through scriptures. Remember humility, uprightness, fear of the Lord, integrity and holiness.
