Exodus 2:9 NKJV
Then Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages.” So the woman took the child and nursed him.
Exodus 3:10 NKJV
Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
This speaks of differences between God’s presence in our life and God’s power to minister to others.
In Psalm 23:5 we read “My cup runs over” and in Ezekiel 47, we read about the different levels of water. When these symbolise God’s presence in a born again believer in Christ Jesus, I believe that 1 John 2:27 (the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you) and Acts 1:8 (receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you) are separately applicable.
Furthermore, I believe that there are deeper levels of Acts 1:8 that people like Joshua, Elijah and Elisha walked in. I believe that when Moses’ rod became the Rod of God that later parted the Red Sea, it symbolises what Isaiah prophecies will happen in the New Covenant; that this is talking about a deeper lever of power and authority that was imparted to Moses, for example, at the Burning Bush.
God’s presence in our life should never be misinterpreted as God’s power to minister to others. I have learned that this leads to grievous errors.
Isaiah 10:27 NKJV It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
