Exodus 7

Exodus 7:22 NKJV

Then the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments; and Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the LORD had said.

If I had possession of this kind of enchantment, I would have restored the water, brought the life-line of Egypt back to normal if I was a “magician” in pharaoh’s court. I neither am nor do I possess this kind of power.

It seems to me that God was picking a fight showing these signs to the powers that be in Egypt, knowing full well that they are absolutely powerless against Him, letting the them know who the real God is.

I thank God that He is not angry with me now that I’m in the new covenant made by Jesus Christ. I may not be perfect, but I know enough to run to Him when it looks like all hell is breaking loose.

He is my deliverer.

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13:16)
