Exodus 10

Exodus 10:3 NKJV

So Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him, “Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

“How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me?” I was thinking about this the last couple of days because despite signs from the Lord, we sometimes refuse to humble ourselves.

In Matthew 18:4 we read that “whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven”, yet we let ego cloud our mind.

Furthermore, we read in Philippians 2:8 that our Lord Jesus “humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

Experience is a teacher, no doubt, and hindsight offers perfect 20/20 vision, but rather than showing battle scars, I’d rather sail smoothly under the protection of the almighty God.

I find that there is still more to learn about humility before God.

1 Peter 5:6 NKJV Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13:16)
