Acts 16:31

Acts 16:31 NKJV

So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

I wonder about what is meant by the apostle Paul meant by saying this. After all, salvation is an individual choice. I know that I by no means fully comprehend the grace of God, but can it extend this far?

I keep coming to the conclusion that there is a deeper layer to the faith that saves us, one that God accounts as righteousness; faith in what our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ accomplished by being the Messiah, His death on the cross, His rising from that, and His soon return.

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13:16)
