Genesis 19:21 NKJV
[21] And he said to him, “See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken.
Lot did not decide to leave his father’s place, Abraham made that decision for him.
Seeking only the natural, what Lot could only do because there was no tool, no spiritual aid given to him, when wealth increased, so did the troubles that come with it.
Having made a decision based on his own understanding, Lot was at peace living in a land of sin.
Abraham had to rescue him once from captivity, but that didn’t change him.
Yet when God was going to judge, He favoured Lot, listened to him.
How much more will the Lord favour those who reach Him only through Jesus?
