Genesis 43:10 NKJV
For if we had not lingered, surely by now we would have returned this second time.”
It takes an understanding of “Immanuel,” which is translated “God with us” to overcome our fears.
Jacob was afraid of losing Benjamin on one hand, and on the other, there was the reality of famine to deal with. Tough call when you don’t have faith and are full of fear.
All that they were going through had to happen for them to be reunited with Joseph, who made Egypt the land of plenty because of God’s wisdom.
All that they were going through had to happen for them to be saved, for them to find a place that could support a family becoming a nation.
Nothing was easy for them, but God was with them, as He is with us.
Matthew 1:22-23 NKJV So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: [23] “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
So I encourage you who have a covenant with God the creator of Heaven and Earth to be bold, be strong, be courageous and do great exploits by faith in Jesus Christ.
