Let a man so regard us as the ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 1 Corinthians 4:1 MEV
Stewards of the mysteries of God, the key of knowledge, not catering to itching ears, nor giving pearls to swine, but dispelling darkness by reverently revealing Jesus Christ, with compassion, being Roman to Romans when in Rome without compromising.
Moreover it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:2 MEV
Ephesians 4:1-3 NKJV I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, [2] with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, [3] endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
It has to do with our character . Tribulation > patience > character > hope (Romans 5:1-5)
1 Peter 1:13-16 NKJVTherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; [14] as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; [15] but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, [16] because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
Psalm 107:43 NKJV Whoever is wise will observe these things, And they will understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
For if you were to have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers. In Christ Jesus I have become a father to you through the gospel. 1 Corinthians 4:15 MEV
This is a spiritual father. Psalm 118:23 NKJV This was the LORD’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.
So I implore you, be followers of me. 1 Corinthians 4:16 MEV
It takes great humility and courage to say this truthfully. I’m not certain, given the things in my life that I consider to be worthless before God, that I’m ready to say this as Paul did. When I see others follow me, I find that responsibility scary, and indeed a humbing experience, for my prayer to the God who knows my heart is for it to be absolutely blameless before His eyes. When I type this, the Lord is reminding me of the conversation Jonathan’s armorbearer had with him. 1 Samuel 14:7 NKJV So his armorbearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Go then; here I am with you, according to your heart.” I find this personally encouraging, for once I had told the very same thing to my pastor.
Psalm 131:1-2 NKJV LORD, my heart is not haughty, Nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters, Nor with things too profound for me. [2] Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me.
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20 MEV
Acts 1:8 NKJV But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” See what I mean about the absolute need in us for the ever present indwelling of the Holy Spirit; that we live a Holy Spirit filled life.
Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch? 1 Corinthians 5:6 MEV
This is a principle
But I have written to you not to keep company with any man who is called a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. Do not even eat with such a person. 1 Corinthians 5:11 MEV
Do not have any sort of fellowship with them. Psalm 140:1-8 NKJV
Deliver me, O LORD, from evil men; Preserve me from violent men, [2] Who plan evil things in their hearts; They continually gather together for war. [3] They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; The poison of asps is under their lips. Selah [4] Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from violent men, Who have purposed to make my steps stumble. [5] The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set traps for me. Selah [6] I said to the LORD: “You are my God; Hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. [7] O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle. [8] Do not grant, O LORD, the desires of the wicked; Do not further his wicked scheme, Lest they be exalted. Selah
Such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, and you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:11 MEV
Amen. Psalm 144:1 NKJV Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle-
Psalm 144:9 NKJV I will sing a new song to You, O God; On a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You,
Talking of a harp with 10 strings, mine is being made. Pray!
“All things are lawful to me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything. 1 Corinthians 6:12 MEV
Walk worthy of our calling in Christ.
But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17 MEV
Another principle.
You were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:20 MEV
Always remember this. We are Not our own. Not only that, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
